Jacob C. "Tito" Ortiz was born January 23, 1975 and is an American mixed martial arts fighter from Huntington Beach, California. Tito Ortiz is also known as "The Huntington Beach Bad Boy. Ortiz was born to a Mexican father and an American mother and spent numerous nights in juvenile detention facilities as a child. His mother and father separate when Ortiz was 13 and his father promptly moved Tito and his brothers to the suburbs of Huntington Beach from Santa Ana. During this time, Tito has made claims to have been a member of a street gang however no records of Tito’s gang activity exist. Tito Ortiz became one of the UFC’s biggest stars as a Light Heavyweight UFC Champion. Ortiz frequently headlined numerous pay per view championship cards and Ortiz appeared on the covers of several magazines including Black Belt Magazine.
